The end of an era: We celebrate LOKI- as he is now retired!
It is with mixed feelings that we announce that LOKI ( am Ch can GRCH Kyon’s Langveis Reisende OS) is now RETIRED from breeding- and will be spending his hopefully many next senior years as Elise’s beloved family pet. Loki is now just a few weeks short of starting his 11th year and since he shares his home with 2 intact females (his daughter Aurora and his grand-daughter Blue) the decision was made to neuter him so that life for him ( and for Elise!) would be easier as he is entering his double-digit senior years.
LOKI has made a tremendous impact on our breeding program, having sired multiple champions – group winners & BIS dogs, both here in Canada, in the US, in Ireland – and Australia. His offspring has also done exceedingly well as working herding dogs on farms – and in the performance field. We could not be more proud of our sweet and laid-back boy. At Kyon we are proud to Carry on his Tradition with his son OLA and his daughter Aurora – and we celebrate that Loki’s genes will be found all over the world! Loki just got his final ophthalmologist eye clearance a short few weeks ago- so if you have him in your pedigrees you can rest assured that he will be an exceptionally sound dog, right into his senior years.
