Stud Services for Golden Retrievers
Stud services for Golden Retrievers are available to approved females. All our boys are excellent natural breeders and we offer fresh chilled semen for those that cannot get their females to us.
We have several outstanding stud-dogs with international pedigrees as well as champion males of our own breeding. The homebred Golden boys come from 5 decades of Kyon’s careful selection for health, temperament and longevity. All our breeding-stock have hip, elbow, heart and eyes certified by specialists in their fields; OFA (for hips and elbows), cardiologist auscultation/ doppler for hearts, and board certified ophthalmologists for eyes (yearly). We also have all our boys DNA tested for PRA and Ichtyosis status and other genetic conditions.

We are beyond thrilled with EVERETT, who has become such an influential sire for Kyon. He achieved all his clearances with ease and his championship in fabulous style. A loving and kind dog Everett is of moderate height, but has loads of substance and bone . He stands 23.5 ” tall and weighs 82 lbs. Everett has excellent working drive , loves the water and is a happy-go-lucky personality . He is of a true cream colour and exquisite British style. He carries a dense and correctly wavy coat.

Ch Goldcker Anchored to Kyon
BEAU was our studfee pup from Goldcker kennel and has become an exciting addition to our stud-dog program! He possesses a truly blended outcross pedigree. Beau is a substantial, yet middle of the standard Golden , a well boned dog, 23 1/2 ” tall and 83 lbs. He has a strong masculine type , dense correct coat, exquisite type and beautifully balanced structure. Beau finished his championship in the blink of an eye. He has passed all his clearances with flying colours including his non- carrier DNA status across the board

Ch Costadoro Bake Me a Cake at Kyon
We are amazed by our stunning T0BY who achieved his championship in one weekend, at 12 months of age! Bred in the US by Costadoro kennel, Toby is a true British Style Golden Retriever of cream colour with an internationally outcrossed pedigree. Toby has a slightly wavy coat and is a subtantial male of moderate size at 23.5 ” tall and 80 lbs. He has an endearingly open and eager-to-please temperament and is currently also pursuing his scenting titles . His clearances include all DNA non carrier status (by parentage).

We are happy to announce that the handsome BRAND now has joined our stud-force having passed all his clearances with ease, including his full Panel of DNA clear non-carrier status. A supremely well-balanced boy with a gorgeous head-piece and flawless movement Brand’s pedigree go back on some of our favourite dogs. A moderately sized male at 23 ” tall and 78 lbs , he is of cream colour and true British style. Brand has a confident and outgoing temperament . Ch Beau Geste Chub Lake at Kyon
We are delighted with our studfee pup from Beau Geste kennel. CHUB is a gentel, kind boy who finished his Canadian championship in the blink of an eye. Extremely well angulated, Chub is medium rich gold in colour with a correct coat, a lovely classic head and excellent bone. He is 24 ” tall and weighs 84 lbs. Chub has tons of substance and brings in an interesting, outcrossed and blended North-American/ British pedigree. At limited stud to approved females Chub is first and foremost a beloved family pet living just up the road from Kyon. His DNA panel is clear with non-carrier status across the board.

We are in love with REBEL . He is an outstanding dog and a well-proven sire having made a tremendous impact on many lines. He is superbly angulated with a wonderful temperament, and possesses tons of substance , coat and bone. Rebel is a laid-back,gentle Golden who loves being a St John’s Therapy dog , going to long term care homes – with his foster-owners, with whom he lives as a beloved family pet. He also has a strong retrieving desire and loves the water ! Rebel is moderate in size, at 23 1/4 ” at the shoulder and weighs in at 82 lb . Besides all his health clearances Rebel also has non carrier DNA status .

Ch Goldnote’s There is Only One
We are so very happy with this our stud-fee puppy from Goldnote kennel. GUNNER has become such an integral part of our breeding program- as well as quite influential on many other pedigrees as well. Gunner is cream coloured and a moderately sized Golden but a substantial boy , at 23.5 inches tall weiging in at approximately 82 lbs. Ch Kyon’s Not Afraid of the Dark RI
We are so proud of our wonderful TYSON . He is a moderate dog ; standing 23 1/2 ” at the shoulder and 80 lbs , with a lovely and correctly wavy coat. Tyson finished his championship with BOBs and group placements along the way. This utterly correct dog , athletic and strong – with a fabulous sweet and bright temperament completed his Rally Intermediate title, trained and trialled by his first co-owner; the late Robert Lindsy Milne. First and foremost a family pet- Tyson lives in a foster-home and given his advanced age, he is only at limited stud.
