Good bye, Billie!

April 30, 2021, was a sad yet happy day at Kyon Kennels. We said goodbye to Billie, who has been part of our “Kyon family” for the past 9 years. As sad as we are to see her go, we’re happy she is starting her own full-time career as a professional dog groomer!

Billie started working with our dogs when she was just 16 years old and she has been a most valued member of our kennel staff ever since. If you have gotten a Golden or Buhund puppy during these years, you can be certain it was lovingly handled and nurtured by Billie. If your dog was trained while boarding at Kyon, then likely Billie helped with that. If your dogs were taken for long walks along our trails, then they will often have done so with Billie at the end of the leash. If you have had your dog professionally groomed at Kyon, then Billie was often the groomer.

Billie has also been an invaluable help for Karin, helping train all our Buhunds. Billie has helped with basic puppy training, show training, advanced rally, and scent training. We are so incredibly grateful for Billie’s tremendous help and dedication to our dogs and customers over the past 9 years.

We wish her the very best in all her future endeavours and we will miss her!
